Video Transcript 01Click to expand My name is Heather Morton, as most instructors, we used the typical discussion posting where we gave the question and the students just gave us the same answer semester after semester. I don’t think that they found any benefit from just regurgitating information. I was at the point where I wanted something new. During one of our weekly meetings, we were introduced to Pacback. Once I suggested that I was able to participate in this program, the Packback advisor for Stanley Community College reached out. She was very flexible. I work an eight to five job, and then we set up Pacback. for my course. I only started with one and now I have it in all the classes that I teach. When I have a question, they’re right there. It is a very supportive program. As an instructor, I love the use of Packback. It gives students the ownership to complete the discussion posting. The students come up with a question and then they research it, providing the answer all while Packback is giving them tools that they need to earn the grade that they desire. You get to set up the parameters of your discussion, posting, however you would like. Packback just gives students the opportunity to be an owner of their education.
