He decided to make the switch to Packback because the system has a set of Community Guidelines that each student must follow to have their post published. Packback enforces these guidelines with artificial intelligence along with human moderators, so now, Dr. Mackin can spend less time moderating for plagiarism and more time encouraging exemplary posts from his students. In the past, my LMS had discussions, but it was a lot of work for me and the TAs to moderate, to check for plagiarism, to check for civility. And with Packback, those hours spent addressing those concerns are basically nothing. Instead, we get to focus on what we really care about, which are the ideas and rewarding good work and bringing and featuring those posts to others, which just facilitates great conversations on Packback. We couldn’t be happier.” Community Stats QUESTIONS 2391 AVG CURIOSITY SCORE 75 RESPONSES 4743 POSTS WITH A SOURCE 59% More Faculty Spotlights
