Faculty Spotlight: Elizabeth Jenkins Provides Peer-to-Peer Engagement with Packback
Elizabeth Jenkins teaches an online course where promoting peer-to-peer engagement is essential so students can converse with each other from all over the world. She also has an in-person course where she’s noticed some students shying away from speaking in class. Jenkins shares how Packback meets students where they are and promotes peer-to-peer engagement. Now her students can continue conversations and engage with each other outside of the classroom.
“[Packback allows students] to engage in ways that I would have never seen or pulled out of them in the classroom.”

“Right now I am teaching [an] online section and I have students who have disclosed that they’re all over the world right now connecting. Even though it’s an online class, they get this other feature of connection within Packback, and it really expands those conversations and meets students where they are. I have also had several students who never once spoke in the classroom, and this was in a physical classroom, but they were the most active students in the forum of Packback.”
